THAT TIME I AUDITIONED FOR THE BACHELOR

I have watched The Bachelor since it first debuted in 2002…I can’t believe it’s been on for over 15 years! Monday nights are for Bachelor and wine!

Over the summer my friend told me The Bachelor was having a casting call in southern California and she thought I should go. Several of my friends really wanted me to be on the show, one of my best girlfriends even sent in an application without me knowing! After some convincing, I decided to go for it. I didn’t think I would get chosen but I figured I had nothing to lose, and I’m all about experiences!

My friend and I drove up to Costa Mesa and were happily surprised when there wasn’t a crazy line to get into the auditions. We were directed to a large ballroom where I was handed a packet with a zillion questions and told to get in line to have photos taken.

After pictures, I was told to take a seat and answer all of the questions (they ranged from what is your favorite type of alcohol to what is your longest relationship) and wait until my group was called. My friend came so prepared for the wait! She brought food, essential oils to calm me down, a water bottle that said “hi my name is awesome” and most importantly an airplane bottle of vodka! So thankful for good friends!

THAT ONE TIME I APPLIED FOR THE BACHELOR

When they called my number I was taken into a different room where I waited for my one on one interview. This was the part I was most nervous about! I was mic’d up, and they started filming which was such a weird feeling! The woman asked me a few questions, most of which I had already filled out in that crazy packet. It went well, I didn’t make a fool of myself or trip up on my words! She was so sweet, and complimented my outfit! After we wrapped up she told me the producers would review the tapes and contact me if they were interested. And that was it!

As you might have guessed, I didn’t hear from the producers but I don’t have any regrets about going to the audition. I can say I did it! We’re only one episode into Ari’s season, and I’m not sure how I feel about him. Also, the girls this season seem reallllly crazy! And then there’s that whole sharing a boyfriend thing, ha! So in hindsight, it’s probably best I never heard back!

So tell me, what do you think about Ari?

Ari’s season is totally boring me. I’m not his biggest fan. But now I totally want to experience auditioning!
