NYFW FALL/WINTER 2018| DAY 2

I woke up late Saturday morning and was exhausted! I didn’t have the energy to go all out with my outfit so I threw on jeans, a sweater and booties. Luckily, I was getting my makeup done at Pucker so I didn’t have to worry about that!

I LOVED my makeup artist, Tameika, pretty sure we’d be great friends if I still lived in NY! I asked her to elevate my look with makeup and she nailed it. Check her out on Instagram —she’s so cool!

I had a stylist pop some curls into my hair too so I was ready for the shoot with Chris Gray and yup, his name is Christian- ha!

This was the fastest shoot of my life, and I love the photos. Thanks Christian for being so easy to work with! While the other girls were taking photos I rushed to the Misha Kaura show. I didn’t think I was going to make it but thankfully nothing in the fashion world starts on time so I made it! It was a really small show, which meant I was able to be up close and really see the dresses. They were so intricate, I loved all of the detailing.

It was nice outside and I had time between the Misha Kaura show and lunch, so I decided to walk to the restaurant. 20 minutes into my walk it started to rain, so by the time I got to Mamo I was soaked—so much for my hair being done!

We had an amazing lunch at Mamo NYC —I ordered the fusilloni con salmone, a glass of pinot noir (I know, I’m not supposed to drink red with fish!) and then we shared every dessert they had on the menu! The affogato with strawberries and the tiramisu were my two favorites!

After lunch it was time to head to the Nandi Medina show. We got there late, only this time we were so late we only caught the tail end of the show. We learned our lesson and didn’t want to be late for the Macduggal show, so we headed over there early. I got a great spot, and saw SO many dresses that I love. I wasn’t a big fan of the velvet trend this fall/winter but one of his dresses was a gorgeous burgundy velvet dress. I wish I had a black tie affair to go to because I want ALL of his dresses. My photos from the show didn’t turn out well, but check out all of the dresses and behind the scenes here!
